Message Here is a old post about the Z
Old Post

Now, I have taken the Z to AZ emissions twice and failed both times.

The first time I took it to emissions was the day after I got the Z. I did not do anything to the Z as it has current Tags from Cali and was emissioned and passed in Cali some time in May of 06.

After failing, I ran the ECU Diagnostics test and came back with 55. (No problems) I was told it might be the injectors, I stoped by Coz's on my way home the next day and picked up some new ones. Day after, I installed the new injectors.

I can tell I am running lean/ruff as I can smell the carbon bad when starting the Z after it sits for a while. If I get on the Z, it also smokes.

I decided to take it back to emissions after installing the new injectors ("free pass") and sure enough, I fail.

The thing that stumps me is that after putting in new injectors, I failed with higher number rather then lower number. You can see from the first pic my first run numbers at the emissions (lower section that reads "previous readings") and the 2nd test (in the middle).

I was told it could be the O2's. Now, I have a 90TT that I can take parts off and try but am clueless on where to start. I just ran the ECU Diagnostics tonight and no problems. (55)

Now, I did notice that this Z had a JDM chipped ECU and I am guessing its chipped for Cali (look @ 3rd pic) would this have anything to do with it?

Anyone have any advice?
